Gunnar Setser
Setser makes moves in Placerville; Tulare and Merced on deck
Gunnar Setser's West Coast campaign with the USAC National Midgets kicked-off in a big way, and with big results, not only earning a spot in Placerville Speedway's 100-lap, $20,000-to-win Hangtown 100 on Saturday, November 15, but driving on to secure a top-ten result - eighth at the line after starting 23rd. In fact, the Columbus, Indiana, native, who just secured Rookie of the Year honors with the USAC National Sprint Cars, was forced to claw his way out of the Hangtown B-Main, climbing ahead from fifth to second to secure his eventual A-Main starting position.
The USAC National Midgets will continue their West Coast campaign with visits to Tulare's Thunderbowl Raceway and Merced Speedway on Friday and Saturday, November 21-22. To learn more about USAC's California visit, visit USAC online at www.usacracing.com.
