Setser caps USAC National Midget West Coast extravaganza with top-12 in Turkey Night Grand Prix
Gunnar Setser's West Coast run with USAC's finest has been an up and down experience, but when the dust finally settled Friday night in Ventura Raceway's annual Turkey Night Grand Prix, the young man out of Columbus, Indiana, was pleased, as well as exhausted, concluding the National Midget takeover with a 12th-place effort in the aforementioned Turkey Night extravaganza. Setser started sixth on the 98-lap grid, earning the spot via overall qualifying effort.
Just a few evenings prior, Setser, the 2025 USAC National Sprint Cars Rookie of the Year, finished 13th in Bakersfield's Jason Leffler Memorial - an incredible ending from the inside of row 11.
