Setser drives to top-10 finish at Fremont Speedway

Following a strong second-place finish in TQ Midget competition Tuesday at Bartholomew County Fairgrounds, Gunnar Setser rejoined the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship this past weekend for a doubleheader in Ohio.

On Friday at Fremont Speedway, Setser advanced to the A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat race. He then impressed in the 30-lap feature, charging forward seven positions to record a 10th-place finish.

Saturday’s event at Millstream Speedway saw Setser post the 11th-fastest qualifying time in a 24-car field before finishing fifth in his heat. His night, however, ended prematurely with a lap-six exit in the feature.
