Setser takes on DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park
Gunnar Setser trekked to the warmer weather of Florida this past weekend to compete in the 54th annual DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.).
Aboard his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Sprinter for the three-day event sanctioned by the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS), Setser's weekend got off to a slow start on Thursday after failing to transfer out of his Last Chance Qualifier.
On Friday, Gunnar went fourth-fastest in his time trial group before placing fifth in his heat. Needing to finish fourth or better in his LCQ, Setser recorded a 10th-place outing.
An early exit in Saturday's LCQ ended Setser's weekend.
